About us
At Our Kids Matter Poetry Kids Club, our mission is simple: to put an end to school violence caused by bullying. We are a nonprofit organization that is dedicated to creating a safe and inclusive environment for all children. We believe that every child deserves to feel safe and supported in their learning environment, and it is our goal to make that a reality. School violence and bullying have become all too common in today's society, and it is a problem that deeply concerns me.
Giving children a free facility that will help grow healthy minds, help children realize bad behaviors, mentoring to become the next entrepreneur, inspire dreams, and providing a safe haven for children is our way of helping to end school violence and bullying. We want to encourage youth and young adults to live their best lives and to take action now on ending school violence and bullying. Providing children with something to look forward to while attending school will have a positive impact on children now and in the future, and it will also decrease tension & conflict among school staff and students.

OUR MISSION
Our mission is to help end school violence that is caused by bullying and to build a foundation that will bring peace in our schools, help beneficiaries live their best life, and to build a studio facility that promotes ending school violence that is caused by bullying. Our corporation will travel to different schools throughout the United States holding competitions for a free studio membership. The corporation will work closely with mental health professionals, contractors, schools, parents and community leaders to help end school violence.
WHY WE DO IT
Hello, My name is Tamara Jenkins and I am the founder of OUR KIDS MATTER POETRY KIDS CORPORATION. As a survivor of being bullied and physically assaulted as a child, and witnessing so many children and schools suffer from violence and bullying brought much concern. I felt a desire to build a boot camp studio that will inspire many children, parents and schools across the United States. Saving our youth, schools and the future generation is very important to me. It brings me to tears every time I hear about a child being murdered or hurt by violence, and my heart goes out for the children that are being bullied. As our corporation grows we will produce more creative solutions that will inspire mental health, and children will learn to channel their emotions without being violent or being a bully. Children and schools are in need of our help to end school violence and bullying.
As a young girl (Tamara Jenkins) had a baby at the age of 13 and was teased, bullied a lot, and was physically assaulted by people she trusted. It took many years getting over the pain of being bullied, physically assaulted and depressed . As a survivor of being bullied I chose to become an advocate for children. Giving children a free facility that will help grow healthier minds, show children their potentials, help children realize bad behaviors and inspire them to correct bad behaviors. By providing a program that is focused on saving lives, correcting bad behaviors, motivating & mentoring, and making school safe is our way of helping to end school violence and bullying.
